About Us
GreenSEED (Student Entrepreneurs for Educational Development) is a non-profit student-run organization that generates recurring funds for Los Altos High School (LAHS).
Currently, we focus on two areas of recycling: (1) used cooking oil and (2) car batteries. We work with several local recycling companies who pick up used cooking oil from restaurants at zero cost and transform it into eco-friendly bio-fuel. We also partner with local auto repair shops and auto parts stores to recycle car batteries.
Through grants, GreenSEED funds LAHS projects and clubs, including college application fees for needy students, student scholarships, class equipment and fine arts materials.
